Mother-Baby Nursing

Mother-baby nursing allows you to learn all about your unique newborn, as your baby is cared for at your beside. As a result, bonding and attachment are enhanced, babies are happy and you, a new parent, will leave the hospital more confident in your parenting skills.

Golden Hour
The Golden Hour is the first hour after your child’s birth, and we reserve that time for you and your partner to get to know your baby. Parents are encouraged to touch, talk to and bond with their baby during this first hour of life.

Lactation Services
We offer lactation education and counseling for your unique situation, including those with babies who are born prematurely or with other special needs. Our staff includes a board-certified lactation consultant and we provide individualized, personal breastfeeding support during your hospital stay. Prenatal and postnatal counseling is also available.

Postpartum Support
It's comforting to know that you can call us when needed. After you are discharged a nurse will call and follow up with you if you have any questions or concerns also you can call us if needed with any of your questions. A nurse is always available 24 hours a day to answer your concerns. Call us any time at 717-316-2262 for your postpartum and newborn concerns.
