Getting well commonly means more than just recovering from surgery or an illness. It can mean learning to walk again after an automobile accident or learning to speak again after a stroke. Getting well can mean learning how to do your job all over again after a work-related injury, returning to soccer after knee reconstruction, or playing the piano after a hand injury. It can also mean helping a child achieve developmental milestones.
