CPR Training for Youth Sports Coaches
Hanover Hospital Rehab Centers-Sports Medicine and the American Heart Association will present the “American Heart Association Friends and Family CPR” course on Saturday, March 2, 2013. Two sessions lasting 2-2.5 hours each will be offered at the following times, at the Hanover Hospital Medical Fitness Center, 250 Fame Avenue, Entrance B, Suite 100, Hanover, PA:
Session 1 – Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Event starts at 8 a.m
Session 2 – Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. Event starts at 11 a.m.

The event is open to area coaches who are involved with youth sports, and will provide basic knowledge of CPR. Upon completion, participants will have the skills to recognize a cardiac event, call 9-1-1, perform CPR and use an AED (Automated Electronic Defibrillator). Certified athletic trainers will discuss important safety topics related to youth sports and will answer questions regarding identification and prevention of youth sports injuries. In addition to coaches, this course is strongly encouraged for directors and other personnel involved with youth sports.

Cost per individual is $5. Light refreshments will be provided.
