A well-designed patient room has been found to serve as an effective component in the healing process. Therefore, it is essential for Hanover Hospital to make a conscious effort to foster an environment that is both technically functional and psychologically comforting for patients. Our latest project will affect the medical-surgical unit by replacing the semi-private rooms with single-patient rooms.
When complete, the new rooms will offer more space, privacy, and comfort to patients and families. They will allow greater efficiencies for physicians and staff with upgraded technology. They will promote faster healing by reducing patient stress and lowering the potential for hospital-acquired infections.

Single-patient rooms do not only improve patient care, they also improve patient satisfaction. As a result, recovery times are shorter, and medical costs to the patient are reduced.
